to Big Band Buddies, the website for all Big Band fans.
Originally started in 1999, my aim to bring news to
fans of Big Band Swing music and Jazz performances active
today, and those of yesteryear with some nostalgic reflections
of the great bands from the 20's 30’s 40’s to the present
day.
Over the past nine years we have encountered many
enthusiast who have contributed to these pages with
their stories and photos from concerts to individual
musicians and singers they have met.
I am privileged to have had many hundred of letters
of support for not only this Internet connection but
also for the magazine we now distribute to many hundreds
of fans around the world.
I have made contact with many musicians, famous celebrity
musicians and singers who have entertained us over the
years, many of those people now members of Big Band
Buddies who have them selves contributed to our magazine
and this web site.
I have tried to established many links to current bands
operating today as well as other Internet sites relevant
to our interest, which I’m sure you will find interesting.
I endeavour to keep this site growing as more and more
sites become available as well as interesting articles
we receive.
Due to the amount of pages available on this site I
have endeavoured to list a menu on the side of this
page that will take you to the menu pages of the one
you request by clicking on the title. Those menu pages
will lead you further into other pages or links to other
sites connected with the subject.
I hope you will contact me if this site particularly
interest you and perhaps you can add your comments or
articles to this site.
Dear Friends,
I am sad to report that my mom, Beryl Davis, has passed
away early this morning 28th October 2011. She passed
peacefully and not in any pain. Thank you from the bottom
of my heart for all your consistent concern. & support.
Her funeral will
be: November 4, 2011 @ 12:30pm At Forest Lawn, Hollywood
Hills, Church of the Hills.
