| Books are coming in thick
and fast these days that will interest all members if you love
reading about your favourite singers and bands.
The latest to be announced and as
yet not landed on my doorstep, so I have not read it to date
will I'm sure be a cracker, filled with nostalgia not only for
the writer but also for you and me.
Dame Vera Lynn now 92 years old………………….ninety-two
years old, can you believe this, she was just a kid a few years
ago when we used to listen to her 'Sincerely Yours Vera Lynn'
programmes on the BBC.
Her book called "Some Sunny Day"
named of course after one of her great songs is published by
HarperCollins and gives a full account of her long life singing
for us and our fighting men and women all over the world up
to just a few years ago. An amazing woman with a voice to match
that has been so much part of our lives in peacetime and in
war when we were in deadly peril.
This book will be full or historical
facts I'm sure and will be as enjoyable if not more so than
her book published in 2002 called 'We'll Meet Again'.
